Everyone enjoys eating out - whether it be a quick snack or a full three-course meal - and dining out in Yorkshire restaurants and cafes is a mouth watering delight. Although best known for using local, fresh produce, Yorkshire restaurants also offer a good selection of cosmopolitan cuisines from around the world. There's a menu for every occasion to be found in this lovely county, ranging from family friendly pubs, traditional fish and chip shops, to healthy, wholesome cafes and 5 star restaurants.
Maybe the great British roast is more your style? What better way to spend a Sunday lunchtime than tucking into a locally reared roast leg of lamb, golden roast chicken or tender joint of beef with all the trimmings. You don't have to slave over a hot stove all day for this - Pubs in Yorkshire are the place for you!
Eating out in the evening is a popular event in Yorkshire, so it is advisable to pre-book a table at a well frequented eaterie, especially on a Saturday. You will find that many restaurants offer a set menu at a fixed price. The cost of a meal can vary from around ₤4.95 for a simple pub dish to over ₤40 for an elaborate feast at a premier location. Locally brewed beers are to be found behind the bar at many an eating establishment.
The Kebabeesh Indian restaurant in Greengates, Bradford exemplifies everything that is great in Asian cuisine in Yorkshire. Jay and his team provide a wonderfully warm welcome in pleasant surroundings and deliver a great selection of enticing house specialities. Wines were keenly priced and the selection of sundries and desserts extensive. The restaurant provides a great family atmosphere with the added interest of an open view kitchen. My guest and I enjoyed an accomplished meal with drinks at less than £20 per head...this restaurant is a great find as many of the regulars would no doubt confirm...we will return soon.
